How should I load knives and sharp utensils in the dishwasher safely?

Load knives and other sharp utensils with their edges pointing down in the silverware basket to reduce the risk of cut-type injuries. Additionally, ensure sharp items are not positioned where they could damage the door seal. Do not allow children to handle or play near knives and sharp utensils. (Page 18)
