How often does the filter need to be replaced?

The Dyson AM11 is programmed to remind you to replace the filter unit after 12 months, based on 12 hours of usage per day. The indicator will activate sooner with heavier use, and use in heavily polluted environments may require more frequent replacement. The filter indicator is only a guide. (Page 7)
