How tight should the car seat installation be?

The child restraint must not move more than 2.5 cm (1 in.) side to side or front to back at the belt path in use. If the restraint moves more than this amount, the installation is not tight enough and you should try again, move it to another location, or use a different installation method. Serious injury or death may result from loose installation. (Page 12)
