How do I add a dish I forgot to load after the cycle has already started?

A forgotten dish can be added any time before the main wash. Push the door latch to the left, and once the water calms, open the door — be aware that steam may rise out. Add the forgotten dish, then close the door and push the latch to the far right. (Page 7)
