How do I clean the lint screen on my Maytag dryer?

Pull the lint screen straight up from the door opening, then roll lint off with your fingers. Do not rinse or wash the screen as wet lint is hard to remove. Push the screen firmly back into place before each load. Every 6 months, you can also wash the screen with a nylon brush and hot water with liquid detergent to remove residue buildup from fabric softener or laundry detergent.
