What type of vent material should I use for the dryer exhaust?

You must use a heavy metal vent with a 4-inch (102 mm) diameter — do not use a plastic vent or a metal foil vent, as these can cause a fire. You should also use the shortest length of vent possible and no more than four 90° elbows, since each bend reduces airflow. (Page 4)
