Common questions
Common Questions
37 totalHow do I restore the BP7250 to its default factory settings?
With the monitor off, press and hold the Memory button while simultaneously pressing and holding the START/STOP button for more than 3 seconds until the display flashes, then repeat this action a second time to confirm. After the reset, the year will flash on the display and you will need to reset the date and time. Note that reverting to default settings does not delete information stored in the OMRON app. (Page 34)
How should I clean and maintain my BP7250?
Use a soft dry cloth or a soft cloth moistened with mild (neutral) detergent to clean the monitor and arm cuff, then wipe them dry. Do not use abrasive or volatile cleaners, gasoline, thinners, or similar solvents, and do not wash or immerse the monitor or arm cuff in water. Do not store the monitor in locations exposed to extreme temperatures, humidity, direct sunlight, dust, corrosive vapors, or vibrations. (Page 41)
How many readings can the BP7250 store in memory and how do I view them?
The BP7250 can store up to 60 readings in its internal memory. To view stored readings, press the Memory button; the most recent reading is numbered as '1,' and you can scroll through older readings using the Forward/Backward buttons. If the memory is full, new readings will replace the oldest stored readings. (Page 31-32)
What should I do before taking a blood pressure measurement to ensure accurate results?
Avoid bathing, drinking alcohol or caffeine, smoking, exercising, and eating for at least 30 minutes before taking a measurement, and rest for at least 5 minutes beforehand. Sit in a comfortable chair with your back and arm supported, feet flat, legs uncrossed, and the arm cuff at heart level resting on a table. Remain still and do not talk during the measurement, and ensure no electrical device is within 12 inches (30 cm) of the monitor. (Page 21-22, 25)
What is the warranty coverage for the BP7250?
The BP7250 monitor is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 2 years from the date of purchase when used according to the instructions. The arm cuff carries a shorter warranty of 1 year from the date of purchase. The warranty extends only to the original retail purchaser from an Omron authorized seller, and Omron's remedy is to replace the defective product at no charge. Contact customer service at 1-800-634-4350 to obtain warranty service. (Page 49)
What does the irregular heartbeat symbol mean on the BP7250 display?
The irregular heartbeat symbol appears when an irregular rhythm is detected 2 or more times during a measurement, defined as a rhythm that is 25% less or 25% more than the average rhythm detected during the measurement. A symbol with a short indicator appears when detected 2 times, and a longer indicator appears when detected 3 or more times. The symbol may also appear if the monitor detects arm movement, so ensure you remain still during measurements. If it continues to appear, consult your physician. (Page 16-17)
