How should I protect wire connections in wet environments like valve boxes?

It is recommended to use Orbit Grease Caps to prevent corrosion of the connection and protect against water infiltration in wet environments. All wires should also be joined together using wire nuts, solder, and/or vinyl tape for secure connections. (Page 6)
