How do I properly connect the water supply hoses to the washer?

Connect one end of each water hose to the Hot or Cold tap by turning fittings by hand until tight, then tighten an additional two-thirds turn with a wrench (do not overtighten). Run water through them for 10-15 seconds to remove impurities. Connect the other ends to the corresponding COLD (left) and HOT (right) inlets on the back of the washer, tightening by hand until snug, then two-thirds turn with pliers. Ensure hot water hose connects to hot inlet and cold to cold inlet. (Page 16)
