What is Smart Optimization and how does it affect my system?

Smart Optimization executes a series of blower tests to customize the XL824 to its unique environment and increase the accuracy of sensed indoor temperature and overall system performance. It is enabled by default and automatically runs approximately 18 hours after initial power up, taking 90 minutes to complete — during which heating and cooling operations are disabled. To delay it for an additional 18 hours, touch and hold the screen for five seconds; to disable it entirely, navigate to Home > Menu > Smart Optimization and select Disabled.
