How do I winterize my washer if I'm storing it during freezing weather?

To winterize the washer: shut off both water faucets and disconnect and drain the water inlet hoses; put 1 quart (1 L) of R.V.-type antifreeze in the basket and run the RINSE & SPIN cycle for about 30 seconds to mix the antifreeze with remaining water; then unplug the washer or disconnect power. This prevents damage from freezing water that may remain in hoses.
