How do I clean the inside of my Whirlpool W11545828 washer to prevent odors?

Run the Heavy Duty cycle with 1 cup (236 mL) of liquid chlorine bleach added to the wash basket — do not add any detergent or other chemicals during this process. This washer maintenance procedure should be performed at a minimum once per month or every 30 wash cycles, whichever comes first. Do not interrupt the cycle once it has started. (Page 6)
