Error Code Reverse Polarity Indicator

Clamps are connected incorrectly to the battery terminals. The indicator light illuminates and an audible alarm sounds.

? What Causes This

Positive (red) clamp connected to negative terminal or negative (black) clamp connected to positive terminal.

Disconnect both clamps immediately.
Reconnect the positive (red) clamp to the positive battery terminal.
Reconnect the negative (black) clamp to a metal part of the vehicle chassis or engine block.
Verify the Reverse Polarity Indicator turns off and alarm stops.
