How do I use the fabric softener dispenser on my washer?

Make sure the dispenser is securely attached to the agitator, then pour the amount of liquid fabric softener recommended on the package into the dispenser. Add water to the dispenser until it reaches the maximum fill line, and never pour fabric softener directly on clothes as it may stain them. Do not stop the washer during the first spin, as this will cause the dispenser to empty too soon. (Page 8)
