Why won't my GE 51451 washing machine start or operate?

The washer may not start for several reasons: the power cord may not be plugged in securely, the water supply faucets may be turned off, the controls may not be set properly with the Cycle knob pulled out to the ON position, or the lid may be open. Additionally, a tripped circuit breaker or blown fuse can prevent operation — check your house circuit breakers and ensure the washer has its own separate outlet. (Page 11)
