What should I do if my washer is making a loud knocking noise during the cycle?
A knocking noise is often caused by the washer sitting too close to the wall — pull the washer away from the wall approximately 4 inches. Other causes include an uneven washer (adjust the front leveling legs or lift the back 4 inches and set it down), an unbalanced load (redistribute clothes evenly), or a shipping rod that was never removed (pull the yellow tag and attached rod from the bottom right-hand side of the washer).
