How do I activate the Emergency Alert feature?

Press and hold the Emergency Alert button for 3 seconds to activate the emergency mode. An alert signal transmits for 8 seconds, then your voice or sounds transmit for 22 seconds without needing to hold any buttons. After 30 seconds total, the radio returns to normal two-way mode. All radios in your group on the same channel and code will receive the alert at maximum volume. (Page 1)
