What do I need to do to communicate with other radios in my group?

All radios in your group must be set to the same channel and Interference Eliminator Code to communicate. To talk, press and hold the PTT button; when finished, release it. For maximum clarity, hold the radio two to three inches from your mouth and speak directly into the microphone without covering it. (Page 1)
