What is the Push to Talk Timeout Timer and how does it work?
To prevent accidental transmissions and save battery life, if you press and hold the PTT button for 60 continuous seconds, the radio will emit a continuous warning tone and stop transmitting. This safety feature ensures the radio doesn't stay in transmission mode indefinitely. (Page 1)
