How should I prepare my washing machine before storage or moving?

Shut off both water faucets and disconnect and drain water inlet hoses. If the washer will be moved during freezing weather, follow the winter storage care directions. Disconnect the drain hose from the drain system and drain any remaining water. Unplug the power cord and place inlet hoses and drain hose inside the washer basket with the power cord draped over the edge. Place the packing tray from original shipping materials inside and tape the lid.
