Why is my washing machine making noise?

The washer may be uneven—adjust the front leveling legs by rotating them in the proper direction, or lift the back of the machine 4 inches and set it down. The load may be unbalanced—redistribute clothes evenly. The shipping rod may still be assembled—pull the yellow tag and rod from the bottom right side. Or the washer may be sitting too close to the wall—pull it away about 4 inches.
